If you own a Goldendoodle or Labradoodle then you’ve probably experienced taking your beautiful Doodle to the groomer only to have it come back looking somewhat like a poodle. If your just adopting your Doodle puppy then your in luck because I’m here to forewarn you. This does not need to happen to you.
There is something called “The Doodle Do” and more and more groomers are becoming familiar with what we mean when we ask for this at the groomers.
We want our Doodles to look like Doodles… think Teddy Bear.. not Poodle. Full face, rounded paws, short but not shaved.
It’s a lot of work and I’ll warn you now.. not cheap. My groomers charge me about $60-$70 dollars per dog and I have to have them cut every 4-6 months but I do have my dogs cut pretty short because I have 5 dogs and I can not afford to have them all cut every couple months. I have my groomer shave down their bodies and leave their heads pretty full. I do have my poodles faces shaved but my doodles I leave cute and curly.
You can take this .PDF print out into your groomers to give them an idea of what you mean when you say a Doodle cut.

This is shaved pretty short but this is the length I have all my dogs done once every 6 months.
