A Responsible Breeder

 I am a responsible breeder and that means…

• I promise to ensure all dogs under my control are properly housed, fed, watered, exercised and receive Veterinary care when required.
• I promise to breed only dogs who have excellent health history and sound temperaments and I agree to test all breeding stock for hip and elbow dysplasia, eyes, heart, PRA, and vWD.
• I will not sell or trade my dog/s to any commercial animal wholesalers or retail pet dealers/traders.
• I promise not sell puppies under the age of 8 weeks.
• I promise to ensure to the best of my ability that all persons acquiring dogs from me clearly understand their responsibility for the care and welfare of their dog, and have made the necessary preparations.
• I promise I will help to educate and guide potential families regarding responsible dog ownership.
• I promise to take back any dog bred by me for re-homing if a family is unable to care for one of my dogs for any reason and at any age, or help the owner to find a new home.
• I promise to provide our families with a written detailed instruction for feeding schedules, dietary recommendations, training and vaccination protocols
• I promise not to misrepresent the qualities of my Labradoodles or Aussiedoodles.
• I will breed the Labradoodle and Aussiedoodle responsibly and keep proper records of my breeding stocks offspring, as much as possible, with any genetic defects I might be notified of noted in my records. If I am made aware that a mating that I have done has produced a puppy with a life inhibiting genetic defect then I will rearrange my breeding program to reflect responsible breeding to avoid future mating with that breeding pair to each other.
• I promise to only breed dogs with temperaments typical of the breed, i.e., stable, friendly, trainable, and totally non aggressive, clever and intuitive. Active and athletic when free, but should ‘melt’ into mellowness when touched by human hands. Temperament is of utmost importance to the breed and must never be neglected or altered from the Standard.
• I promise not to purposely breed any female before she is twelve months of age or after six years of age.
• I promise to demonstrate fairness and honesty – including full disclosure in regards to my puppies and their parents health and temperaments.
• I promise to properly socialize all puppies I produce with children and other adults as well as new situations and environments as much as possible before leaving my arms.
• My goal as a responsible breeder is always to produce the highest quality companion animal possible, including great health, superior coat quality, sound body conformation and temperament and show them nothing but love, dignity and kindness while they’re in my care.
• I promise never to use kennels as a way of life for my breeding dogs and puppies. I promise to raise all my dogs & their offspring in a family home environment.
• I promise to have honest business practices when it comes to the business side of my business.
